# PromptKit

> PromptKit is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave that checks what you are about to send to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, on your own device, and stops API keys, passwords, card numbers and personal data before they leave the browser. It has no server and makes no network request. It is free during the beta, with limits; a Pro license (€19 for 12 months or €29 for life) raises them. Organizations can deploy it with the browser's managed policy.

## Key facts

- Works on chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com, in Chrome, Edge and Brave.
- Blocks by default: API keys, private keys, card numbers, passwords and tokens, IBANs, social security numbers, your own keywords. Warns about: e-mail addresses, phone numbers.
- Choices when something is found: Hide and send (values become numbered placeholders such as [API_KEY_1]), Edit message, or Send anyway (an administrator can remove it).
- Permissions: storage and the three sites, nothing else. No server, no network request, nothing stored from messages.
- Also includes a Prompt Coach that scores each prompt out of 100, and optional waiting games.
- Limits: pattern-based detection cannot catch everything; it does not read images, PDFs or Office files; it does not cover other apps or API calls.
