Documentation
Install PromptKit, use it, change its settings, activate a license and get help.
Install the beta
- Request the beta. You receive a zip file.
- Unzip it into a new folder (the file
manifest.jsonmust be directly inside). - Open
chrome://extensions(oredge://extensions) and turn on Developer mode. - Click "Load unpacked" and choose the folder.
- Reload your ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini tabs.
To update, replace the folder's content, click the reload icon on the extension, then reload your tabs.
Use it
- Write as usual. A small chip near the message box shows the prompt score.
- If the message holds something sensitive, a panel opens when you press Enter or Send, and nothing is sent. Choose Hide and send, Edit message, or the quiet Send anyway (your administrator can remove it).
- "Ignore once" lets one value through for this message only. "Never flag this" adds an exception. Neither is offered for secrets such as API keys and card numbers.
- Click the toolbar icon to pause for 15 minutes, an hour, or until you turn it back on.
Settings
Protection per site and per category (Block, Warn, Off), custom rules with a live test, keywords, exceptions, templates, statistics, license, and "Erase all PromptKit data".
License
Open Settings, then License, paste your key and click Activate. If your license ends, you go back to the free limits and nothing is deleted: extra rules and templates are paused, and you can still edit or delete them.
For organizations
Administrators can deploy keywords, custom rules and minimum actions through the browser's managed policy, force protection on, forbid pausing and turn off the waiting game. PromptKit never reports anything back to the administrator. See PromptKit for teams.
Something does not work?
- Reload the extension and your tabs.
- In the PromptKit panel, open Diagnostics and copy the text (it holds counts and element names, never your messages).
- Send it to [à compléter: e-mail de contact].
