Terms of sale and use

1. Who we are

2. The product

PromptKit is a browser extension that checks messages and files on your device before you send them to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It is offered free of charge with limits, and with a paid Pro license that raises those limits (see the pricing page for what each plan includes).

3. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns, payments, invoices and taxes. Prices are shown in euros; the applicable VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

4. License

When you buy, you receive a license key for your own use on your own devices. The "1 year" license is valid for 12 months from purchase, with a grace period of 14 days, and does not renew automatically. The "for life" license has no end date for as long as we offer PromptKit; if we stop offering it, we will give at least six months' notice and keys will keep working in the versions already installed. The license is personal and may not be resold, shared publicly or used to provide PromptKit to a team (contact us for a team license). A license check is done on your device and needs no connection.

5. What you may not do

You may not forge, resell or publish license keys, or provide the extension under a different name. You remain free to inspect how it works.

6. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase, as described in the refund policy.

7. Detection is best effort

PromptKit looks for patterns and the keywords and rules you set. It cannot find every sensitive piece of information and cannot guarantee that nothing sensitive is sent. It does not replace your own care or your organization's policies. You stay responsible for what you send.

8. Changes to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and to PromptKit

These sites change their pages without notice, which can stop PromptKit from working on a site for a while. We monitor this and aim to fix problems quickly, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. We may update PromptKit, including its detection rules and limits.

9. Liability

We are liable according to the law for what the law does not allow us to exclude. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version in force on the day of your purchase applies to your purchase.

12. Law and disputes

French law applies, without taking away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, you may use a consumer mediator: [à compléter: médiateur de la consommation]. EU consumers can also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
